This past weekend I went to the senior craft show at The University of the Arts (you can see the class of 2013 works here.) I couldn't help but think of my senior show last year, and it felt like it was the first time I've been able to look back and appreciate my time at school. The last few months of college, when all of us craft majors came together to plan our last show, were some of the most fun (and stressful) times I've had. You get to know people in a way you may not expect when you are in the same six hour class with them for three years straight. It's a lot like going to elementary school with the same kids from the time you are in kindergarden through the fifth grade. You may not know every kid personally, but they are very familiar to you. I've only been out of school for a year now and sometimes feel I've completely lost the sense of community I had within my major. It's been a struggle trying to find it with others outside of school. After being at this years craft show I've been feeling very nostalgic for that time, so here's a look at what I made for my thesis.
